Pick to Parcel

The pick to parcel flow expects that an operator will be both picking and packing the items that are delivered to them by the AutoStore. Though lower throughput than batch picking operations, picking and packing can reduce the number of operatives required to process each shipment.

Prerequisites

Before an operator can perform a pick task, a task must be imported into the WCS.

Workflow Steps

Tip

Several options can be changed using the Pick Task Category configuration. The below steps are for the ‘single piece’ picking flow recommended for pick pack

1. Operator uses personal credentials to log in
2. Choose the ‘Pick’ workflow
3. Select a pick pack task type
4. Operator is presented with the Pick Task details, and confirms. ![TODO] insert image of step
5. Product details to be picked are displayed to the operator as well as the quantity required. Operator scans each of the picked product(s).
6. If there are other products that need to be picked, once the required quantity & product is picked from the initial bin, a new bin with the second product is presented. Operator follows step 5 again.
7. Once there are no more products to pick for a shipment, a summary of the items packed and any pack messages are displayed for the shipment. ![TODO] insert image of step
